Three Little Birds Quintet are – Rachel Simpson, Sara Oschlag, Ela Southgate, Matt Wall and Dan Sheppard.

Rachel, Sara and Ela sing in three part harmony, with Matt and Dan on guitar and double bass. The group write their own close harmony arrangements of jazz and bossa nova standards. Their influences come from groups such as the Four Freshmen, and Les Double Six, as well as the big band harmony of classic recordings form the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, and Frank Sinatra.

This is a rare opportunity to hear Three Little Birds Quintet, as home for the musicians is currently Dundee, Brighton and southern Spain! The band have performed extensively over the years, pleasing the ears of Brightonians with their perfectly blended sound.

The quintet will be playing a Sunday afternoon performance in the Large Meeting Room, of the historic Friends Meeting House in Brighton’s south lanes. It is a fantastic space in which to perform and listen to music – built in 1805, the room is double height and was designed specifically for speaking and listening to voices. It is beautiful both visually and acoustically.
